I Have Yet Another Post That Will Not Load

Staying with my other Gal Pal, Waki Jaki, I am experiencing, yet more intermittent web access.

My wonderfully, awesome post of the night will not load and you really need the visuals to appreciate what I wanted to say.

Think, cute male buns.

I will continue trying to load the pictures for the post and will post later tonight, if successful.

Sweetness, Waki's husband does have cute buns, just not as cute as yours.

I'm currently thinking simply of bunnies, because we have baby bunnies outside the office that I call "bun buns" (I'm a sucker for tiny furry things, what can I say?). So...yea.

By the by, have spent time reading your posts and wanted to share my hair color horror story with you (I remember yours too and it wasn't NEARLY as bad as you thought it was)...it's long, so settle in:

I have always heard that you should change your stylist every 3 or 4 years, to avoid getting into a "groove" where they don't really put any effort into making you look fabulous anymore. Now, I've been getting my hair professionally done since I was 17, with the same gal and she has only once done something I didn't love, and she then fixed it for free. She's wonderful (by the way, where did you go to get yours fixed?) but I "thought" I needed change.

So I went to a different salon and told the girl I wanted a medium auburn (this was in April). I told her that I THOUGHT my other stylist used the color RR somehow, but not to quote me on it. So, we set off.

3 hours later (yea...I have that much hair), my hair, though darker than I wanted, looked fine at 8PM in a salon. She charged me $80 for color and cut (UGH). I went home, flipped on the bathroom light and my eyes filled with tears. My hair was a deep purple/pink/red on my roots and eggplant purple/almost black everywhere else. Um...WHAT??? I called the salon the next day (Friday)...the girl wasn't available until next Wednesday. She called me on Monday and wanted to know what happened. I said, "Well, I wanted medium auburn and this is eggplant." I asked for an appointment to fix it ASAP. We set it up and then I asked what the price would be (assuming she would say nothing). She said, "Well, since you *told* me the colors that were used, I'm going to have to charge for at LEAST two tubes of color." Through gritted teeth because I absolutely did NOT tell her anything of the sort, I asked how much that was and she said, "Oh...around $40 or so." TO FIX YOUR INCOMPETENCE??? I told her in not so many words to cancel the appointment because I would never pay for a job that was the stylist's fault and hung up.

I went back to my stylist, apologized profusely for "cheating" on her and she then stripped my hair and recolored it as best she could (unfortunately, with color, you can't make it "lighter" NEARLY as easy as you can make it darker) and styled it...for $60. She is a saint. But we're still trying to get to "medium aurburn"...maybe by late Fall?? :-)

If you ever need a colorist before moving to Germany, BFF, make an appointment with Jessie at the Emerald Isle Day Spa in Swansea. That's the moral of the story.
